The Earth is an incredible biosphere made up of complex parts that work together to sustain life. For the Earth to accomplish this, every component needs to be healthy. Ecosystems have a remarkably adaptive capacity to address imbalances, both naturally and artificially produced. However, too much change, too quickly and the environment can not adapt fast enough. Then it can become unhealthy. Because ecosystems are interrelated, when one becomes unwell it can spread like a disease to others. Humans are not immune to this process, for us to be in good health, the Earth must be healthy.
